Thirty years on from the release of the original, adidas are celebrating audacious strikes worldwide with this almost one-to-one recreation of the iconic boot.
Back in ’96, the Predator Touch had quickly become known for producing swerving long-range blockbusters thanks to its especially pronounced rubber forefoot fins. Then David Beckham sent its rep into the stratosphere with his legendary halfway line lob against Wimbledon. The Pred was already popular; after that goal, it was everywhere.
The remake features the same leather upper as the original boot, complete with the classic red foldover tongue and those aggressive forefoot fins. Underfoot, the modern-day Pred’s Powerspine-enhanced Strikeframe soleplate provides supercharged traction and an added boost to your shot power. Now that really is unfair.
