Celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Biancocelesti’s first Serie A title with the Mizuno Lazio 23/24 Special Edition Short-Sleeved Shirt in Airy Blue, a throwback jersey that pays tribute in style.

Back in the 1972/73 season, a newly promoted Lazio side filled with relatively unknown players took Serie A by storm. Led by legendary coach Tommaso Maestrelli and powerful forward Giorgio Chinaglia, the Biancocelesti conceded the fewest goals (just 16 in 30 games), lost only three times in the league and pushed northern giants Juventus and AC Milan all the way to the final day of the season. Unfortunately, the magical promotion-to-champions story wasn’t to be.

One year later, in 1973/74, the team returned stronger than ever. A strong backline consisting of the likes of Giuseppe Wilson, Giancarlo Oddi and Luigi Martini again proved themselves to be the best defence in the league, while Giorgio Chinaglia and Renzo Garlaschelli scored a combined 34 goals to fire Lazio to the top of Serie A. This time though, the Biancocelesti held on until the end of the season and sealed their first ever scudetto with a 1-0 win over Foggia on the penultimate game.

Designed as a tribute to that iconic Lazio side, the 2023/24 Special Edition jersey proudly showcases the names of the entire squad and manager Maestrelli in elegant embossed stripes, and the retro-ribbed V-neck collar and cuffs evoke the kits worn back in 1973/74. Tricolore detailing nods to the scudetto win, and a subtle 73/74 Campioni D’Italia banner below the crest completes the look with a regal flourish.
