Sprint towards stardom wearing New Balance Furon V7 Pro FG Canvas Series x Eberechi Eze football boots in Starraiser/Pixel Green, a signature edition colourway inspired by Eze’s relentless determination and laser focus. Back in 2012, still just a teen with lofty dreams, Eze tweeted “I know I’m going to get there”.
A decade on, he has those very same words written on his first pair of signature boots, which he’ll wear as an established star on the biggest stage.To celebrate his journey to the top, NB have adorned his special edition boots with features recognising his upbringing in Greenwich, home to the Royal Observatory, and his first junior club, Bruin FC.
The night sky graphic on the upper charts his rise, with “E”-shaped constellations at the heel paying tribute to members of the Eze family that have supported him through the ups and downs.
The blue and white of Bruin FC make up the base colours, while the bright green details mimic the Meridian laser that lights up Greenwich Park, where Eze honed his skills as a youngster. And yes, just like the laser, they glow in the dark.
Tech-wise, the seventh-gen Furon’s built to minimise distractions, delivering the locked-down feel you need to accelerate off the mark and sprint away from opponents.
Once you’ve made space with your explosive moves, that’s your chance to use the increased striking area created by the off-set laces – anything struck with the instep absolutely flies off the boot.
The upper’s lined with Hypoknit for comfort and adaptive support, extending up to a refined mesh collar that features a 3D tongue tab for easier on and off.
